An introduction by C.J. Dugan
In a zany attempt to blend spring break madness with the marvels of modern technology, three Chicago area residents, C.J. Dugan, Michael Kahle and Dave Facchini made a completely spontaneous and irrational decision to drive to Roswell, New Mexico... the next day... with no particular plan or agenda. Armed with only a map, animal crackers, a pocket full of laundry money and the finest in luxury transportation, they left Chicago in search of the land of sand and aliens.
Our only goal on this trip is to bring along as many of you as possible using the wonders of the Internet as your car. We have laid out this page so that you have complete access to the days activities as they unfold both in our car and at our campsite. Because we have no particular plan of attack, we are hopefully going to rely somewhat on your suggestions as to where we should go, or who we might see. If there is just a particular place you want a picture of with us, we will gladly insert you along side us on location provided that you e-mail us an appropriate picture.
We would be more than happy to stop by friend or families house if you have any in or around the Roswell area, and send them your good wishes as well as add them to our "places visited" page. Above all, enjoy the site for what It's worth. We will be making constant updates when ever we can so what ever you happen to see on a given day will be what we have just come away from.
Pack your bags and don't drink too much, because there's a lot of desert between Chicago and New Mexico where restrooms are few and far between.
