Born in the arid grasslands of Somalia, Africa, CJ was abandoned by his birth parents and left in the grass to fend for himself. As luck would have it, he was happened across by a roaming family of naked mole rats who sympathized with his situation and took him in as one of their own. It was in the near darkness of their underground tunnels that he developed an uncanny skill for gnawing through tough roots and creating wondrous computer art. CJ's father, sensing his sons talent in computing, would regularly bring him up to the surface to play in the sunshine and perform RAM upgrades for the native inhabitants of the lands who viewed his abilities to de-fragment a hard drive as unearthly in their skill and precision.
At the age of six, CJ began to grow to large for the small tunnels that he had called home, and was forced to migrate to the surface permanently after a severe bout of the hic-ups collapsed nearly 400 feet of tunnel, burying nearly 2/3 of the colony. Shunned and disgraced, CJ wandered nearly 12,000 miles with nothing more then his laptop and a vanilla latte before collapsing out of exhaustion in Chicago Illinois. Waking nearly 15 years later, hungry and noticeably larger, CJ took shelter in a humble Lincoln Park apartment on the North side of the city.
Looking to make up for lost time and to better his life, he applied at Columbia College in the South Loop area, which had an open admissions policy that ignored SAT scores and the fact that his parents name on the application simply read, Heterocephalus glaber.
Pursuing a career in computer animation, CJ worked hard for nearly four years, animating everything from pipe-cleaner to sausage links. Two months before graduation however, his life would take another unexpected turn. While enjoying the first Spring evening of the year on his back porch with some friends, CJ had the most unexpected of visions. His naked mole rat father appeared before him in a whitish haze and spoke only one word before disappearing in to the clouds. He said: "Roswell". Confused and obviously shaken, CJ turned to the support of his closest friends who he promptly leaned on and said, "We must go west, where the sun sets and the sand is sandy." As if guided by some unknown force, CJ and his two companions climbed into their 1985 Honda Accord and drove to their destiny.
